S60 key figures
S60 software on Symbian OS is the leader among smartphone software platforms, and it has gained steadily in volumes and market position. The following provides some key statistics to give overview of its status and opportunities as of August 2008.
- More than 80 S60 devices launched, sold by the great majority (200+) of operators worldwide
- Over 150 million S60 devices cumulatively shipped by end of January 2008. Over one third are fully internet capable 3rd edition devices
- Four licensees: Nokia, Samsung, Lenovo and LG
