Telecom Italia uses S60 as a platform for customized applications

One of the core benefits of the S60 is its extensibility. For the mobile operator, this means not only the possibility to increase the ARPU through the sales of add-on applications and content, but also the possibility to introduce customized applications that can be unique in both layout and functionality.

Telecom Italia has been using S60 platform as the basis for their development of a number of applications, such as TIM TurboCall and TimCafé. The most recent example on S60-based development is the TIM Pocket Care application.
