The Renewal of PCC structure
In 2008, a renewal of the PCC structure was undertaken in order to foster greater innovation, create more logical categories and enable members to collaborate more easily within the S60 ecosystem.
The key objective of the PCC - to support S60 device creation within a highly competent and innovative community – remains the same. The aim of this renewal is to increase the ease with which PCC companies can work with S60.
The S60 PCC structure change involves giving the PCC categories more descriptive names so that people can more easily understand what each category is about. The new categories include: Device Integrator (DVI), Semiconductor Integrator (SMI), Technology Integrator (TCI), Competence Center (CC) and Affiliate Member (AFM).
